Day of the Dead

All Saints Day or Day of the Dead is when we celebrate our ancestors. We put decorations like food or candles on their graves in the cemetery. Every ear they put 4 elements . The candles represent fire, the licor is water, the cut paper is air, and the food is earth. My Grandpa says that it is a long way to heaven, so that is why we give fiambre to the dead. The day of the dead is the 1st and 2nd of November. The first is for children, and the second is for the adults. That is what you need to know about All Saints Day!
This couple is teaching us about the woman's costume.
This is the altar.
Fiambre is a traditional Guatemalan dish that is prepared and eaten yearly to celebrate the Day of the Dead and the All Saints Day. It is a salad, served chilled, and may be made up from over 50 ingredients!
